Kingston-Based Psych-Rock Act Jimbo Share New Single “Dropping Like Flies”

Psych-grunge rock act Jimbo have shared their new single “Dropping Like Flies”. Based in Kingston, the group are set to release their third EP A Sad Faces later this year. From the release is the basement rock single “Dropping Like Flies”. Heavily rooted in the ’90s grunge era, the song brings together elements of Alice in Chains and Soundgarden with their explosive guitar riffs and gritty, nonchalant vocals: “Just hands, guitars, drums, mental illness, and angst. As the devil intended”, Jimbo share.

In true rock spirit, the song is a cry against the world. About the song, the band continues, “Our current system is draining the bright minds of the future and something needs to be done”.

With its clashing instrumentation and a distortion-heavy guitar solo to tie it all together, “Dropping Like Flies” is a nostalgic and adrenaline-pumping effort from emerging Canadian talent.
