UK pop-punk group Standing Like Statues have shared their first single of 2022 with “Truth Hurts”. Combining elements of ’10s alt-rock with the anthemic edge of pop-punk, the new single is an anthemic and catchy effort that holds a strong message with it.
About the song, the band share: “Truth Hurts” explores new ground for us. Stepping outside of our comfort zone, we wanted to discuss a topic that not only we feel strongly about, but so do many other people. The track is about being fed misinformation and lies and how you should think for yourself and be your own person rather than a follower. It also looks at how isolating it can feel to be someone that isn’t afraid to go against the grain and discover other pathways“.
