Houston producer/multi-instrumentalist Hamond wastes no time bearing his soul on his latest single “Badget”. The “nonsensical word” that titles this track surely encompasses the left field sonic approach of the multi-instrumentalist as he searched for a way to label the “confusing and conflicting emotions that come with leaving a relationship”. 

Across “Badget”, Hamond makes lyrical choices that simply take the song to the next level. As Hamond claims “canceled out your feelings, guess you had your reasons”, he encapsulates the blanks we all fill in within our psyches as we deal in grief and unraveling. The introduction of the pounding and detailed sub bass at the arrival of a heart wrenching hook (“can’t seem to replace you with another/from you I never ever recover”) breathes new life into an already captivating musical journey.
