UK Hip-hop Label Doctored Sound Share New Single “Onto Something” From Recent Release Full-Length ‘The Miseducation Of An Insta Generation’

Doctored Sound, the independent UK label headed by Isatta Cesay, released a new collaborative album The Miseducation Of An Insta Generation recently. Featuring 4 talented artists – SB, Mercy’s Cartel, SAMSON, and Denyher, the new collection was deeply inspired by Lauryn Hill’s classic album The Miseducation Lauryn Hill and aims to focus the spotlight on emerging talent.

“My goal was to use Lauryn Hill’s incredible album as a tool to inspire and develop a new generation of talent”, Isatta explains. “The music industry always asks questions about female rappers and their position in the market. As a Black female rapper, I thought it would be great to create an example, through Doctored Sound, in order to back up my responses. I wanted to do this by using arguably the greatest rap album of all time as inspiration, because it was created by a Black woman.” 

From the record is “Onto Something”, featuring all four artists on one heavy-hitting track. The collective’s alternating verses and individual rhyme sequences interlock flawlessly, giving a platform for the four talents to shine.
