Alexisonfire Share Second Track “Reverse The Curse” From Upcoming Full-Length Album ‘Otherness’

Following the recent release of the first single from their upcoming album, Alexisonfire have shared a second track from Otherness. “Reverse The Curse” is a poetic commentary on facing one’s demons anchored by a gigantic riff, giving listeners another glimpse into the upcoming album release.

Fans of the band will be familiar with the interchanging vocals stylings playing out atop the heavy guitar and percussion, alternating between the heavy bellow and softer rooning. While the track itself is new to listeners, the riff at the heart of the song has been around for quite some time. Says George Pettit, “Some riffs stick around for a while until they make sense. “Reverse The Curse” has existed in one form or another since Crisis. There was even a version that we used as the original “Young Cardinals” but that one wasn’t meant to be. It found its way to creation during our covid rehearsals and I’m glad it’s finally coming to light.”

“Reverse the Curse” follows the first single, “Sweet Dreams of Otherness,” released earlier this year alongside a number of tour dates, to which the band has continued to add. Otherness is set for release on June 14th, and will be the band’s first album release in 13 years.
