Swedish Singer-Songwriter Linn Cervell Shares New EP ‘Introspection Collection’
Stockholm-based singer-songwriter Linn Cervell has officially released her new EP Introspection Collection.
Her upbeat songwriting finds a soothing similarity to ’00s pop artists such as Natasha Bedingfield and Colbie Caillat, as she breaks down her thoughts over the course of four tracks.
Speaking on the new release, Linn shares:
“The EP goes through different anxiety related topics with each song, things I’ve had to deal with most of my life but as of lately have learned to distance myself a bit from. The songs have been a way to process feelings of “what’s the meaning of anything” (“Nobody”), nostalgia (“Feel So Much”), impostor syndrome (“The Show”), and overthinking (“Overanalyzer”) and are arranged in a mix of funk pop, guitar melodies, and electronic indie pop, with a humorous tone to it all. Hoping that those who recognize themselves in my songs can find comfort in them, and perhaps instead of identifying too much with their anxiety can gain a little distance to it. And that those who don’t still can enjoy a nice pop melody!”
Having lead the release with the catchy piano-pop tune “Feel So Much”, the rest of the EP is a welcomed showcase of the emerging artist.
