New York Hip-Hop Artist Spaceman Makes Statement On Political Climate On Satirical New Single

For Long Island-based hip-hop artist Spaceman, the current state of the world – especially in the U.S. – is an unfortunately accessible source of inspiration for his music. His 2020 album Fascist Utopia: Regime Change was an outlet to combine real issues with introspective and humour, while experimenting with his production and songwriting style.

From the collection is the new music video for “Nazi Uniforms”. While he assures us, “Nazis are bad, the title refers to the encroaching aesthetics of fascism in our society”, his word-heavy delivery and choice lyrics allow him to make a statement about his home.

As for its composition, Spaceman adds, “As you can hear there’s not much “structure” to this song, it’s very straightforward compositionally, the emphasis is on mood and texture. The beat took me to a weird place, a sense of like, open-world claustrophobia”.
