Washington Garage Rock Duo Teen Mortgage Call Out Corporate Media On New Single “Tuning In”

Washington D.C. garage-punk duo Teen Mortgage have released their new single “Tuning In”. Holding onto the fuzzy, punchy three chord punk of the ’70s and ’80s, the pair continue the anti-establishmentarianism with their track, this time calling out the major media corporations. Serving as a call-to-action, the band elaborate, “These corporations use all media platforms to manufacture public consent. With the public’s consent, they continue to make profit without being held accountable for their crimes. They also use these platforms to further a culture war between the people in the working class. This is in order to distract them from the real problem in their lives – the American oligarchy”.

Clocking in just under two minutes, the old-school-meets-new-school carries the torch of punk’s roots while incorporating a modern DIY energy.
