UK Indie Rock Act Arliston Share New Single “Hold My Wine” From Upcoming EP ‘Even in The Shade’

From the opening moments of UK indie rock band Arliston‘s new single “Hold My Wine”, there’s a uncanny resemblance to the low hum The National. Lead by the deep croon of frontman Jack Ratcliffe, the new single combines ambient folk textures with indietronica and rock, for a bold and playful new single.

“‘Hold my Wine’ is about that occasional moment of recognition when you look up from the narrow corridor of your own thoughts and are seized by the idea that everyone else has progressed and developed, while you are stuck in an unchanged rut”, Jack explains. “The protagonist attempts to do something about it in the chorus – but inevitably, he gets it wrong”.

With a bittersweet chord progression and lush production, “Hold My Wine” keeps listeners on their toes, giving a new perspective with each listen.

“Hold My Wine” is lifted from their upcoming EP Even In The Shade, due out later this year.
