Emo Group TRSH Share New Math Rock Single “Normcore 2007”

Holding onto the classic midwest emo sound of Modern Baseball and The Front Bottoms with ear-pleasing math-rock guitar arrangements, new emo act TRSH have shared their second album of 2022 with Soporific. From the release, the band have shared their nostalgic lead single “Normcore 2007”.

Opening with the line, “I don’t want to grow old/ but the years of rec league are upon us” the band instantly sets the tone for the mathy emo track that reflects on the involuntary stage of adulthood.

Catchy sing-along chorus hooks and lavish guitar riffs help to add TRSH to the new wave of midwest emo revival, alongside acts such as Free Throw, Gulfer, and best dad ever.

Listen below, and check out their stand-out hit “Garbage Fire” from earlier this year.
