Montreal Math-Emo Act Gulfer Share New Single “Neighbours”
For a group best known for their flourishing guitar riffs and math-rock style approach to songwriting, often times the words come first. On their new single “Neighbours”, guitarist/vocalist Vincent Ford began first writing about processing his experiences with a loved one diagnosed with schizophrenia, but only realized after the song was done. Coming together with its punchy, emo-punk detailing and rhythmic soul, “Neighbours” opens up about the mentally debilitating experience with a candid and emotional spirit, backed by the explosive aforementioned guitar riffs.
