Cornwall Alternative Emo Rock Group Growing Fires Share New Single “Sunshine & Broken Bottles”

Cornwall-raised emo act Growing Fires released their debut EP back in 2019 as a duo, formed by childhood friends Jeremy Farkas and Travis Alguire. Fast forward to 2022, and the band have since multiplied to a quartet and have shared their latest single “Sunshine & Broken Bottles”.

“Lyrically it’s about wrestling with self loathing and self destructive behavior while trying to find love for yourself even though you’re imperfect but trying to be better”, the band share about the new single. “The chorus and verse 2 is specifically about alcohol addiction and using excessive consumption to numb emotional pain and stop your brain from thinking by allowing it to turn off”.

Strengthened by anthemic vocals and a grandiose chorus hook, “Sunshine & Broken Bottles” continue to showcase the small-town band’s arena-sized abilities.
