Vancouver Singer-Songwriter Kylie V Falls In Love On New Single “Runaway”

Vancouver-based indie folk singer-songwriter Kylie V has shared their new single “Runaway”. Inspired by the unsuspecting range of emotions that came with a new sparked romance, “Runaway” is a charming and delicate offering that showcases Kylie’s honest lyricism and bright vocals. Sharing similarities to the likes of Julien Baker, Mitski, and Big Thief, the emerging artist keeps things simple yet poignant on their latest single.

“This is a song I wrote about the sheer amount of fear that came with falling for my first real love”, Kylie shares. “Navigating a romantic relationship with anxiety, OCD, and trauma is ridiculously difficult but getting out the stress through this song was deeply therapeutic and I’m very proud of it.”

Kylie released their debut album Big Blue back in 2021, and “Runaway” is the latest piece to hint at the artist’s next chapter.
