Southern R&B Artist Jony Shelby Shares New Single “Shenandoah Ave”

Austin-based hip-hop artist Jony Shelby has shared his new single “Shenandoah Ave”, the first release of the new year. Influenced by the likes of Khalid, Frank Ocean, and Sampha, the melodic and groovy single about separating reality from memory.

“I’ve been a prisoner to my past”, Jony begins. “Shackled by the chains of someone who never even really cared in the first place. This song is an exploration of that journey, and how the fascination with memories can evolve into an obsession. The smooth melodic passages harken nostalgia & flow seamlessly throughout, adding an appropriate backdrop to the theme that sometimes it’s just better to let go“.

Lush bass kicks and futuristic pop production give the song a warm and melancholic feel, Shelby lets his rich croon do the heavy lifting.
