Underoath Release New Single “Let Go” Via New Label MNRK Heavy Ahead Of ‘Blind Obedience Tour’ 

Underoath continue to expand and reinvent their sound, experimenting with the balance between chaos and harmony with each new release. Their latest single, “Let Go,” is no exception. 

“Let Go” is the band’s first release since 2022’s Voyeurism, released via new label MNRK Heavy, – one of the largest independent companies in the world. Discussing the song, the band shares: “This is actually the first song we completed after recording Voyeurist. It took a few different forms but we got it to a place where we knew this is what it should be. It’s about letting go of whatever trauma or demons that might be holding you back. As hard as it is to make those decisions sometimes, I feel like we can never grow without stepping out of those toxic environments.”

At its root, the track remains true to the band’s overall sound throughout the years. With crashing percussion punctuating the track and intense vocals, the track hits hard from the start, with moments of softness throughout as a synth melody plays underneath the chorus. The lyrics paint a story that matches the song’s overall intensity and makes the track impactful past the punch of heavy instrumentation. Walking an artistic tightrope, Underoath owns the space between huge choruses and forward-thinking heaviness, something “Let Go” showcases effortlessly. 

The single’s release date also kicked off the start of the band’s tour with Periphery and Loathe, seeing Underoath making stops across the USA before heading across the pond later this summer.
