Irish Indietronica Artist Christian Cohle Shares Cinematic New Single “Jungle”
Dublin-based producer & songwriter Christian Cohle has shared his mesmerizing and cinematic new single “Jungle”. Built on a foundation of swelling synthesizers and twinkling arpeggios, the indietronica release delves into his self-reflection about relationships and sense of control, as he expertly crafts a soundscape to match the emotive context.
“Jungle’s about me grappling with my sense of control, about fading intimacy and doomed romance”, Christian shares about its inspiration. “I had watched a Werner Herzog documentary called Burden of Dreams, and the feverish jungle setting really inspired me. It became a metaphor that I used for what I was going through at the time. Feeling totally lost and swallowed up by a chaotic force I eventually had no other choice but to yield to. I tried to make the music reflect that also”.
With an influential nod to the likes of James Blake and Burial in its production, “Jungle” is a six minute journey through Cohle’s mind, both sonically and personally.
