Oakland Noise-Pop Act Feefawfum Share New Single “So Capable”

Oakland-based noise-pop act Feefawfum have re-entered the music sphere with their latest single “So Capable”. Their first since 2017, the group have come together for an explosive and rhythmic new release. Comprised of band leader Farley Miller (drums/vocals), alongside Kevin Sullivan (bass, vox), Emma Greenbaum (Mellotron, vox), Kelvin Zhang (guitar), and Theo Slavin (guitar), the five-piece make a compelling re-introduction.

Influences from Deerhoof, black midi, and DD/MM/YYYY come through its unpredictability and gritty melodic strengths, as the band gradually fan the fire with their sonic oddities. Written about the selfishness and pride that comes with greed and screwing over people for one’s own gain, the turbulent percussion and dizzying instrumentation help contribute to the frustration.
