Moses Sumney – Me in 20 Years
North Carolina-via-California-via-Ghana indie avant-R&B artist Moses Sumney is releasing a double-LP græ this year, and ahead of the release, Sumney has shared a few tracks from the ambitious collection. “Virile” and “Polly” took their turns before the end of 2019, and now, Sumney has started off the new year with “Me in 20 Years”.
The track’s low energy gives it a haunting aesthetic, matched with a luscious and textured underglow of synthetic production. Sumney’s finely tuned falsetto takes the listener through his self-reflection and internal conflicts, and the result is nothing short of enchanting and captivating. The song’s slow pulse and deep emotions show a hint of what to expect on the 32-track double LP.
