Jordan Klassen – I Want To Move In To Your House (Music Video)

If you feel like it’s been awhile since you’ve seen the inside of someone else’s home, YOU’RE IN LUCK! Vancouver singer-songwriter Jordan Klassen set in someone else’s house.

His new music video and single “I Want To Move In To Your House” is a great example of how Klassen can take the simplicities of life and his surroundings and turn them into something thoughtful and heartfelt. His voice is captivating and soothing, his melodies are intricate, yet welcoming, and frankly: he’s one of the best singer-songwriters in Canadian music.

His upcoming album Tell Me What To Do is out May 22nd, and it should be on everyone’s calendars.

P.S. Hear another single from Klassen here.

Alice Ivy – Don’t Sleep ft. imbi the girl & BOI

Melbourne electronic producer Alice Ivy is releasing her second studio album Don’t Sleep on July 17th. The Last Gang Records signee has shared the new music video for the album’s title track, which features vocals from Imbi the Girl and BOI came from a spirited collaboration:

“Don’t Sleep is one of those songs that came out of nowhere! Imbi, Boi and I were in the studio on the last day of a songwriting camp (shoutout Ricochet!) and at the start of the session we were all feeling pretty burnt out. But something special happened between us and I think it had a lot to do with how inspired we were feeling after a week at an all-female/non-binary camp. We came up with a super powerful song and it’s definitely one of my favourite collabs I’ve ever been a part of. The lyric, “Our bodies are ours so keep your hands away” hits me every time I hear it. It’s an empowering song… so obviously I had to recruit a bunch of junior motocross riders to tear it up in the video!”

It’s fun, uplifting, and hella catchy. I’m singing it right now (you can’t hear me).

Art Feynman – I’m Gonna Miss Your World

Recording artist and producer Luke Temple has another side to him. Under the new moniker Art Feynman, Temple is exploring more eccentric music styles with his latest single “I’m Gonna Miss Your World”. Off his upcoming album Half Price at 3:30, the groovy lead single mixes together African dancebeats, trippy falsetto, and warped ’80s synthesizers to make a trance-like party tune.

Basically, “I’m Gonna Miss Your World” feels like if Paul Simon and Nick Murphy rolled a joint together and with each hit, music came to be.

FRND CRCL – Loose Cannon

FRND CRCL (Friend Circle for the vowel-impaired), is a group of friends from ‘Jersey that make nostalgia-rich pop punk. Their new single “Loose Cannon” is from their upcoming sophomore album Internet Noise out May 1st.

Blink-182, Simple Plan, and Sum 41 come to mind when listening to the song’s dynamic punk melodies and forever-young invincibility. “Loose Cannon” takes on the challenge of navigating through the bullshit of life, dealing with relationships, doing your own thing and going your own way. So punk, man.

Call me biased, but the pop-punk genre will reign forever!!! (I apologize in advance to my future-family).

Blind Channel – Died Enough For You (Music Video)

You think metal, you think Scandinavian. Or you at least get there eventually. Normally the darker, more intense side of the genre, like trash, doom, and death metal, is tied to our Northern friends, but there are still more “radio-friendly” artists. Finnish nu-nu-metal band Blind Channel have released the new music video for their hard-hitting new single “Died Enough For You”.

Rich with mid-2000s hard rock influence from the likes of Breaking Benjamin, Godsmack, and Linkin Park, it still hits pretty hard on the chorus. It’s like really, really aggressive pop music. Sounds like a win to me.

Lonr. – Make the Most ft H.E.R.

I heard the crisp, snap of the tapped snare and I knew this was something good. Grammy award-winning artist Lonr. fuses together genres and styles into his hip-hop sound. Featuring the angelic vocals of H.E.R., “Make the Most” is the L.A.-based musician’s latest single. It’s downtempo, chill, and glossy, making it easy to sink into the song’s theme:

“…the idea behind Make the Most was simply that we only have one life to live, so with whatever or whoever it is that you love, make sure you make it known…make sure you chase it, because tomorrow isn’t promised.”

Heads or Heads – Climbing Up

Never have I ever….been to California. Drink up if you have.

That would include you, Alex Harbolt, or as he is also known as, Heads or Heads. The Kansas City-based producer/filmmaker was recently inspired by his trip to Los Angeles and wrote his new single “Climbing Up”.

The song’s glossy chillwave and synth-driven pop textures makes for an easy-going vibe that is perfect for sunny days and top-down drives through a major city.

His California-inspired album Low Angles comes out May 1st.
