Busty and the Bass Get Into Trouble With Macy Gray On Their New Single “Out of Love”
Montreal’s favourite funk octet Busty and the Bass have been dropping singles over the course of the year, teasing their forthcoming album which will be out later this year. Adding to the band’s collection of delicious music appetizers is the new single “Out of Love” featuring the legendary Macy Gray.
Written about the unfortunate pains of ending a relationship, “Out of Love” is a silky smooth funk tune that highlights the band’s ability to create easy-listening and soulful music that is accentuated by their subtle virtuosity.
Crisp horn sections, massive and groovy bass lines, and slick criss-crossing vocals give “Out of Love” a colourful and intoxicating existence, taken to a higher level with Macy Gray’s bluesy verse.
Adding to the fun is the accompanying psychedelic animated music video featuring the weirdest and most colourful bowling alley. Stay tuned for more music from Busty and The Bass, and you can hear this song and more on our Monthly Spotify playlist.
