Baby Boys Get Weird In New Video For “Maggot Water”; New LP Out Friday
With their debut album Threesome hitting shelves this Friday March 12th, Saint Paul trio Baby Boys have shared their final single ahead of its release with “Maggot Water”.
Having previously introduced their eccentric, experimental indie pop rock style over the last few months, it seems to come to a peak on “Maggot Water”, throwing together audio clips, trap beats, and straight-up hooks. Not to mention the three band members bare it all in the weird green-screen music video.
We started the track by cramming 10 of Nathan’s song ideas for the sessions into that 8 second intro that exists,” Baby Boys added of the recording process. “Although he’s still bummed that we used his life’s work as a footnote, it opened the door for us to make a real barn burner about a moldy fridge“.
That moldy fridge becomes the backdrop (among other random places) in the new music video as the Baby Boys show off their best dance moves.
Baby Boys are also set to host a virtual album release show Live at The Mall of America on March 25th. A full-length set of Threesome shot on multiple cameras, the stream will go live at 7pm ET/6pm CT on March 25th and is free with RSVP.
