Metalcore Act DE8ED Share Adrenaline-Pumping Track “Fire Force”
As a genre birthed out of chaos, intensity, and style, metalcore continues to be a powerhouse of virtuosic instrumentation and adrenaline-pumping ferocity. Djent five-piece DE8ED are following the tradition of expanding the genre alongside the likes of Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon, and Enter Shikari with their electronic-infused nu-metal sound. With a debut EP on its way this year, the group have released their blistering new single “Fire Force”.
“We wrote our first single, FIRE FORCE, during the lockdown so we just put in all our anger, loss of hope, and sense powerlessness which we all experienced in this World pandemic”, the band share. “The lyrics are very heavy and personal, it talks about losing friends, feeling betrayed, experiencing despair and dreaming of being free again. It’s a very emotional track and we hope everyone can connect our feelings, and even help them see this situation from another point of view connecting to each other and understanding that we are all in this together“.
With polyrhythmic guitar parts and a rollercoaster of intensity, “Fire Force” picks out the best of nu-metal, electronicore, metalcore, and pop punk for a speaker-blasting tune.
