Mat Kearney Travels “Anywhere With You” In New Music Video
Nashville-based pop singer-songwriter Mat Kearney is set to release his new album January Flower on May 21st. He has been teasing the collection with a handful of vibrant, free-spirited singles, including his latest addition “Anywhere With You” and its nomadic music video.
Written as a wanderlust love song, “Anywhere With You” was originally crafted prior to the pandemic, but took on a whole new meaning in the last year or so.
“The idea of roaming around the world in a glass box seemed to represent the longing to be doing the thing I miss the most—touring and sharing live experiences with my community,” Kearney shares. “Everyone has had to give up something in the last year that they’re looking forward to getting back. My hope for this song is that it touches on the nostalgia for what we’ve been missing and the excitement we have for the future.”
With one of the most captivating voices in the pop world, Kearney’s lush alt-pop sound and crisp vocals give an anthemic feel to an otherwise intimate and homegrown song, bringing an international audience together.
