Emerging R&B Artist Amaka Queenette Shares New Single “Want You More”
Pickering-based 21 year old singer-songwriter Amaka Queenette has shared her new single “Want You More”. Flaunting her luscious soul-infused vocals and gentle, honest songwriting, Queenette wanted to celebrate the empowering qualities of unconditional love on the new track. While she originally wrote it almost five years ago in high school, the last few years of her life inspired her to bring it to life and give it the attention it deserves. “I wrote this song when I was 16 years-old on a grand piano in my high school. My words were without reference. I’ve collected loves over the years, and this song is their by-product. Thank-you to my infinite muses; ‘want you more’ is yours”.
Her velvety smooth vocals and uncompromising confidence add a compelling and sensual quality to the song, as the instrumentation stays close behind, guiding it forward with NYC soul and ’90s R&B influences drizzled in.
