UK Songwriter Eli Moon Drops Calming New Single “Cocaine Dreamer”
From his bedroom in London during lockdown, British songwriter/producer Eli Moon has shared his latest single “Cocaine Dreamer”. Despite the song’s drug referencing name, the single is a quiet and charming piece, written about the morning after a night of vices, capturing the calming solace from the early hours of the morning with its slow-burning indie rock production and Eli’s slick croon.
“Creating this song showed me a different side to myself that I hadn’t been in touch with before”, he shares. “It showed me that I could be softer, lighter…more considerate. Shooting the video, I realised I was able to create a world through my eyes, and present it to others in the hopes that they can find solace there. I love the ambiguity of the song. There isn’t a day that I don’t find a new emotion or message in the lyrics, and that for me is gold”.
The warm, yet ambiguous message of the song adds to its secret charm, as Eli Moon melts together a variety of genres for a universally captivating piece.
