Neo-Classical Producer Jacob Olofsson Shares Magical New Single “Gyroscope” Alongside Animated Video
Well-known music producer Jacob Olofsson, one half of Grammy Award-winning duo Jarami, has shared his new video for his sophomore solo release “Gyroscope”. Newly dedicated to the neo-classical genre, and performing under the alias Olovson, the Swedish producer creates an otherworldly magic with an old piano and textured production. As he embarks on a new journey, his new style draws references from nostalgic, romantic classical pieces blended with Swedish folk melodies to the free and improvised moments of jazz.
Accompanying the single, Olovson has shared the hand-drawn animated video, created and directed by London-based, Swiss-born artist Gabriel Böhmer. Olovson guides us into a world of adventure and unrestricted creativity with his latest single, luring listeners in with neo-classical piano tones and the delicate brush of the nouveau across the ears and into dreams. Speaking of the video, Olovson tells us: “I got the idea for the music video during a trip in Mexico. It’s about a child who finds a Gyroscope in his grandparent’s attic, and magic starts to happen when he spins it.”
