Scranton Alt-Rock Act The Boastfuls Take It Out On Big Pharma With New Single “Medicate”
Scranton alt-rockers The Boastfuls have released their second single “Medicate”. With clear influences from the likes of Royal Blood, and Muse, the Pennsylvania duo are joining the ranks of exhilarating, emerging guitar-forward acts such as The Blue Stones, cleopatrick, and Nothing But Thieves. Written about the frustrating pressure of medication as a “quick fix” solution, the new single dives into the emptiness of dependency.
“It’s really about how people that want a quick fix or to take the easy way out and how it affects the people around them,” explains lead singer Marty Monahan. With the one-size-fits-all mentality at large, the pair unleash a raw and aggressive style rock n’ roll, through powerful guitar riffs and belting vocals.
