Nashville Multi-Instrumentalist Boon Shares Melancholic Hit “Somebody Else”

At just 18 years old, Nashville-based producer and multi-instrumentalist Boon has released a handful of self-produced hits, fusing together his appreciation for rock, trap, blues, electronic, R&B, and pop. His new single “Somebody Else” follows suit, showcasing the next generation of genre-less music, written from the bedroom of a teenager.

About the single, Boon confides, “[Somebody Else is] a semi-depressing song which is disguised sonically as a feel good, pop record. I love the irony of having an anthem about being a horrible person and telling your significant other they could do better.”

Melancholic guitar leads the way as his vocal draws across a bass-crunching trap beat, slipping into the trend-setting trap-pop style mixed with a more organic and genuine singer-songwriter origin.
