New Zealand rising star Niko Walters has shared his buttery-smooth offering “Soul Food”. The R&B hit highlights his crisp vocals against a bright wall of harmonies and funk-driven instrumentation. With a bedroom pop feel but a clear studio sound, the new track is a comforting song about feeling close to a home cooked meal. Speaking on the new track, Niko says “I wrote Soul Food with the vision, smells and feelings of my grandmother and her love and kindness. The song grew to be an ode to all grandmothers and mothers in general in appreciation for what they do.”
