The Districts – Outlaw Love

Earlier this week, Pennsylvania alt-rockers The Districts reveleaed their latest single “Outlaw Love” and its eccentric accompanying music video. The high school best friends are growing up quick, and their music mirrors that subtle nostalgia that nibbles behind your ears with each passing day. Brooding croons and haunting guitar riffs make for a dreamy and starry-eyed hit from their upcoming album Great American Painting, out March 11th.

Nick Granelle – Good Days Only

With the goal of releasing new songs throughout the coming year, indie singer-songwriter Nick Granelle has kicked off the plan with his upbeat indie pop rock hit “Good Days Only”. Including lyrics from a poem his girlfriend wrote for him, the new song is an ode to the sweet, feel-good moments in life – a much needed antidote to the everyday world. His charming guitar chords and vocals bring out hints of ’00s pop-rock and coming-of-age movie soundtracks, repackaged in a fresh, modern indie hit.

Scoobert Doobert – a song to quit your job to

Just to be clear, this song title is more of a suggestion rather than advice. The only thing that I would say is cold, hard advice is to listen to the latest from the San Diego bedroom indie pop artist. With a handful of singles out, and two album releases in 2021, Scoobert Doobert is a hit-making machine, and “a song to quit your job to” is another one to add to the pile.

Dope Lemon – High Rollin

After having to push his new album Rose Pink Cadillac to this past Friday, Australia’s Angus Stone has finally shared his collection as Dope Lemon with the world. From the 10-track effort is the hazy collab with Louise Verneuil for the dreamy, summer evening single “High Rollin”

Polo Lewis – Hangin’ Up

Toronto duo Polo Lewis have been busy not just writing music, but building a universe for their virtual moniker. The two long-time friends have been creating catchy nu-R&B-infused hip-hop for their vicarious character Polo Lewis. Their new single “Hangin’ Up” is a playful and upbeat hit that combines cat-and-mouse romance with bouncing synthesizers and foot-tapping melodies.

Marissa Burwell – Why Can’t I

Regina-based singer-songwriter Marissa Burwell has started off the new year with a sensational and heartfelt release “Why Can’t I”. Opening with her gentle, angelic vocals, the emerging artist showcases her artistic capabilities through the new ballad, letting her soft style unleash its power with each passing chorus.
