Los Angeles Pop-Punk Artist Poel Returns To His Roots For New Single “1997”
Los Angeles artist Poel has been an active part of the West Coast pop music scene for the last decade or so. Nevertheless, he has continued to keep a pulse on the music of his origins: pop-punk. With a handful of singles released over the last few years, Poel has continued to commit himself to the California music scene with his latest single “1997”.
“After writing/recording pop songs for 10 years, I decided it was time to circle back to the roots”, he shares. “It started out with a lead line guitar riff, and then everything started to fill in from there. Lyrically, it’s about banding together, finding your tribe, and rising up to take a stand against a world gone wrong“.
Deeply inspired by the likes of The Offspring, NoFX, and Green Day, “1997” is a time capsule of the music that continues to inspire generations.
