Indie Singer-Songwriter Mandi Mapes Finds Her Own Way On Compelling New Single “Daffodil Floors” From Upcoming Debut Album ‘Levees’

Indie singer-songwriter Mandi Mapes is set to release her debut album Leeves on March 10th. After a creatively difficult period in her life, Mandi’s new music proves to be a resurgence of sorts that brings a fresh perspective and stronger musicianship.

Her latest single is “Daffodil Floors”, a personal song about finding a new path with her faith and finding the courage to step away into a different direction. Gentle vocals, a waltz time signature and lush folk-pop instrumentation contribute to the ballad’s soulfulness and alluring spirit.

With a handful of singles out already Mandi explains the upcoming collection in more detail, “I think the overall message of this album is to not lose hope. ‘Surely Goodness’ is a reminder not to lose hope even in shadowy times because the light is never far away. ‘Levees’ is a story about how even when you’ve lost something you can never get back, love is still waiting for you. ‘Dream’ says it’s never too late to keep dreaming. ‘Van Gogh’ illustrates the importance of trying again after failure.” 

Continuing the theme of remaining hopeful, “Daffodil Floors” is a bright and optimistic reflection.
