Indie Singer-Songwriter Ariana Fig Shares New Single “Cherry Coke”

Toronto-based indie singer-songwriter Ariana Fig has shared her new single “Cherry Coke”. Built on a steady waltzing guitar rhythm, Fig lets her emotive and delicate vocal style lead the way as she sings about an internal struggle of better oneself.

“This song touches on themes of addiction and alcoholism in a way that is not too dark but still very real”, Ariana shares. “The protagonist of this song feels like an outsider, always wanting to go back to places of comfort. ‘Cherry Coke’ is their substitute but as the song continues, you learn that it just doesn’t hit the same way. They wish to go home, back to their innocent youth. Their relationships become entangled because they are still figuring themselves out in a new light“.
