Tim Baker Searches For Meaning With New Single “Pilgrims” From Upcoming EP ‘Along the Mountain Road’

Singer-songwriter Tim Baker is set to release his new EP Along the Mountain Road on October 20th, nearly a full year following his standout LP The Festival. Serving as a companion to the previous record, Along the Mountain Road continues Baker’s introspective and serene folk solo work. From the upcoming release is new single and video “Pilgrims”, a compelling and inside look at his touring band and lifestyle.

“The song is sort of about being born in the wrong time – feeling more spiritual and religious than our modern, rational, digital reality encourages,” says Tim. “It’s about feeling close to sweetness, ease, goodness, enlightenment even, but always being pulled away from it by reality – specifically the reality of the climate crisis and our inability to fix it, ignore it, or find some deeper meaning in it beyond senseless destruction. It also speaks to my life as a traveller, a searcher, someone who is always leaving, always reaching for something, but never quite seems to arrive and find it. But somehow still has hope and keeps going.”

Donning his signature croon and heartfelt lyricism, Baker makes sure to keep “Pilgrims” feeling undeniably honest and expressive, and is nothing short of golden.
