Dylan Owen Shares Hopeful Title Track From New EP ‘Take Care Of Yourself’

After feeling unsatisfied and detached from his music, hip-hop artist Dylan Owen wasn’t sure if he would return following a three year pause from his project. Nevertheless, he found himself back at it, working on an 8-song project that helped to document the last few years of his life. Take Care Of Yourself was the result and Owen has now shared its title track as the new focus release.

Featuring fellow rapper Laeland, “Take Care Of Yourself” is the album’s closing track, filled with optimism and hopefulness.

“I remember writing and recording this in the attic of a small house in upstate New York”, Dylan shares. “Back then, I felt like I might never release music again, hence the seemingly endless pause between my last album and this one. 3 years. I felt pretty deeply alone in those days“.

Hints of soul and gospel bleed into the song’s spirit, as the smooth, conscious hip-hop style of Dylan’s autobiographical delivery takes over. About its message, he concludes, “Get out there, do something you’ve convinced yourself is impossible, because it is never too late“.
