A Will Away – Karma

Connecticut-bred alt-rock act A Will Away have announced their new album Stew will be out this February. The collection’s third single “Karma” comes with a coming-of-age music video, shot at a high school close to where the band members grew up. Capturing the pent up angst and rebellious anthemic power of ’00s high school film soundtracks, “Karma” is a fun and upbeat audio-visual experience.

Chastity – Somersault

Whitby suburban-emo act Chastity will be sharing his new album Suffer Summer in early 2022. His latest single “Somersault” stays true to his melancholic basement rock style, and its accompanying visual captures small town antics by putting a local story of police brutality on its head.

Anxious – In April

As the New England indie rock scene continues to flourish, promising five-piece Anxious have announced their debut LP Little Green House will be out in January. The Connecticut-based act have lead the way with the mathy emo-punk hit “In April”, showcasing their bright full-bodied sound and midwest influence, soundtracking the adventurous music video to match.

Little Simz – I Love You I Hate You

No stranger to masterpieces, Little Simz delivers on her new music video for “I Love You I Hate You”, off her recent critically-acclaimed record Sometimes I Might Be Introvert. The vulnerable and hard-hitting track has Little Simz opening up old wounds about her absent father, and the artistic strength of her songwriting is mirrored in the music video as a young man and woman confront their past through art.

shy kids – Tom

Toronto experimental art pop trio shy kids combine their talents as filmmakers and musicians for all of their releases. The latest addition “TOM” is no exception, crafting the story of an old fisherman Tom through his eulogy. Haunting, cinematic, and hypnotic, the song’s emotion comes through its theatrical arrangement and dusty 8mm montage.

Marie Dahlstrom – Safe Place

Danish producer/R&B songstress Marie Dahlstrom released her new EP Safe Place over the weekend. Its title track sums up the record’s spirit, serving as anthem about appreciating those you love and letting them know. Her sultry vocals and dreamy production make for a comforting and heartwarming combination, elevated by the honest lyricism.

Jordan Klassen – Milk & Honey

Vancouver singer-songwriter/producer Jordan Klassen returns with his mesmerizing new single “Milk & Honey”. His signature dreamy vocals and subtly detailed instrumentation provide the casing for him to delve into the topic of perfection and anticipation, a combination that came together during lockdown.
