For Rochester-based content creator & musician Sean Healey (best known by his handle @seanrhealey), the transition from dead end office job to independent content creator came with some unexpected truths. His new single “People In The World” is a Bo Burnham-esque exploration of the shift in lifestyle, captured from the comfort of his own home with a Danny Boyle-style multi-frame angle.
About the song he shares:
“‘People in the World’ explores the transition I made in 2022 to transition to full-time content creation work. After 2 & 1/2 years in dead end office jobs, I was finally in a position to leave 40hr work weeks behind in favor of the 24/7 gig economy. As a lifelong introvert, I’ve always wanted to work alone and at my own pace… and it turns out it’s lonelier than I expected. This music video offers a look through the doorway into my studio. It’s become my space for reading, working, working out, making music, and spending about 80% of my waking hours. This is a space I’m grateful for. The world is chaos, but things make sense in here“.
Combining trappy hip-hop beats with effect-laden vocals, “People In The World” has Healey drawing from his personal experiences on a topic that is highly relatable for the modern day creative. Accompanying the millennial anthem is the crafty and eye-catching music video shot from his office.
